PDF Conversion Software
This week I bring you 3 of the most common PDF printers on the market. There is a main review of Adobe Acrobat 9, along with some suggestions for other PDF creators.
Creating PDF's can be a good way to distribute your drawings to third parties. However, you dont need to spend lots in order to create PDF's. The program we use in our office is a free program called Cute PDF. This has proven to be a good litle tool for the main bulk of drawings we produce, with very few complaints about image quality at the other end.
However, if you would like to created a few more options within your pdf on a day to basis then it might be wise to invest in a PDF creator.

One which is fairly cheap, and simple to use is PDF Creator this is a good program which enhances on the simple print function of Cute PDF. With PDF Creator you can encrypt your PDFs as well as add multiple PDF sheets into one document, a very good addition to any PDF creation software.
Verdict
PDF creator is a cheap alternative to Adobe Acrobat, if all you require is a simple print function, with the added features of multiple PDF merging, then this is well worth the money with a good support forum.

Realicticayl PDF Generator Pro only offers the same features as Cute PDF. Its a simple, print to PDF application. You can encrypt your PDF files however, which may or maynot be a good reason to buy this software. I would recommend that you use Cute PDF, then if you like that, and require PDF encryption, with good customer support then upgrade to PDF Generator Pro
Verdict
A simple to use program, which doesn't offer much more than Cute PDF which is Free! Good customer suppot, but possibly not paying the extra money for.

Adobe Acrobat 9 is by the far the most powerful and most expensive of the PDF creators I am reviewing here.
Adobe have enhanced the quality of colours to allow the user to create very rich PDF's, which is ideal if you are more at the concept design stage of a project, creating 3D images or printing colour drawings to PDF.
The beauty of this product is the functionality it will perform within your office. It will simply open up your marketing, and day to running’s of your business, as it enables you to import images, text Flash objects and even Audio and Video objects. This will enhance Tender packages, and reports 10 fold.
It has the ability to print from any application, and is fully compatible with the internet, for enhanced features.
The bad side however is it is highly expensive, so one or two licenses in one office are probably all you will need.
